Coffee for a Cause Six celebrity baristas competing for the title of barista extraordinaire, three celebrity judges bestowing that distinction, and Steeltown Coffee & Tea and Soroptimist International of Pittsburg are all coming together for the 2nd Annual Coffee for a Cause. When: January 28, 2012 at 1:30 pm Where: Steeltown Coffee and Tea, located at 695 Railroad Avenue in Pittsburg, California. What: Celebrity baristas include District II Director Gloria Soderberry, Contra Costa Water District Bette Boatmun, Supervisor Federal Glover, former State Senator Joe Canciamilla, former Pittsburg High School Principal Jess Leber, and local musician Mundi Orozco. The Celebrity Judges include Governor Elect Dona Gaddis Wolf, Coffee Industry Expert Levi Lillie, and Olympic Gold Medalist and Reigning Barista Champion Eddie Hart. Details: Baristas will be demonstrating their latte art skills and will be judged on the latte art presented during that days competition. Event Tickets: $25 and include a $25 Steeltown Coffee and Gift Card and a $5 donation to Soroptimist International of Pittsburg. New to the event is the Great Gift Card Basket Raffle. We are gathering gift cards and certificates from local and surrounding businesses for goods and services to fill the basket. The value is over $500 dollars.
