The Taming of the Shrew embodies sibling rivalry, perceptions and expectations of women and the power of fathers and husbands; themes that are still strongly relevant to today’s teenagers. Taming of the Shrew tells the story of a wandering braggart who is out to marry for money. He ends up with the shrewish daughter of a rich man, whom he must “tame” even as he falls for her. A William Shakespeare comedy guaranteed to leave children and adults alike buzzing with the thrill of live theatre.
