Streaming from a family that is relatively well known in the great city of Pittsburg, I wanted a name for myself. I felt like I needed to stand apart on my own two feet. I became interested in barbering in high school. When things were looking down I found barbering was there. As I began my journey in my craft, I felt my independence start to grow. I knew that as a new barber in this industry I just couldn’t go out and start my own shop andI didn’t want to. I needed to be more seasoned. By working with different barbers and clientele I knew that the time was approaching to step out on faith and continue to grow my business. As the years passed I extend myself to different charities on the behalf of my barbering business as “Redd tha’ Barber”. I know that it’s important to give back especially to those that are living in the same city as you. I started to see that this is something that I love to do and would want to continue to do more of. I recently was given the opportunity to create my own shop, “Redd’s Barber Shop” and it’s been 10 years in the making. I’m not only proud to do this here in Pittsburg but blessed. Dreams do come to pass!
